We are pleased to host at the Mobile 2.0 Europe Developer Conference a hands-on product design workshop by Tom Hume, titled “Mobile Mountains”.
Participants will break into teams and spend a couple of hours coming up with a product for a specific target audience; sketching it out; testing it; and then coping with changes and constraints introduced in the product lifecycle. This acts as an introduction to a simple iterative design process; an examination of the impact of changes and constraints on product design; and a demonstration of some of the unique characteristics of mobile.
Mobile 2.0 Europe is proud to host the AppCircus – a unique global traveling showcase of innovative apps!
Participation is FREE and open to start ups and individual developers, so apply now to the AppCircus@Mobile 2.0 Europe in Barcelona on June 17th 2010 and walk the high-wire!

If you haven’t heard about it yet, it has that excitement of a new born coming: it’s called OneSocialWeb, a platform to build mobile social applications. The project is an initiative of Vodafone Group Research and Development to serve the discussions and help taking concrete steps towards an open social web.
This project has been built upon the shoulders of other standardization initiatives aiming to open up the web and we have been inspired by the visionaries behind them: activitystrea.ms, portablecontacts, OAuth, OpenSocial, FOAF, XRDS, OpenID and more.
The coders and designers in the team are Laurent Eschenauer, Alard Weisscher, Lorena Alvarez and Diana Cheng.
Laurent Eschenauer will be present at Mobile 2.0 Europe Developer Conference and give a tutorial on Onesocialweb.
Watch this preview of the tutorial below:
